LAUREN LATTIMER , C.E.O OF ENDLESS HORIZONS LTD.
LAUREN LATTIMER, THE WOMAN WHO BUILT HER EMPIRE UP FROM A MODEST WATER STAND, IS NOT KNOWN FOR WALKING AWAY FROM DIFFICULT SITUATIONS...
The 45-year-old billionaire entrepreneur grew up on the tiny island of Dorego Garcia, and received no formal education. Deciding to leave the island at age 13, the tenacious young woman hitched a ride on a whale vessel after disguising herself as a large mound of mink whale blubber.
She made it as far as Swansea where the ship docked temporarily. Here the captain discovered her and made her walk the plank; which is Danish slang for ‘apologise’. Alone and hungry, without a penny to her name, Lauren began trying to make a living using the only resources available to her in Swansea: empty bottles and rainwater. Defying all expectations, she was soon turning a healthy profit by claiming the bottled rainwater was imported from the mountain ranges of Tobascus.
Soon she expanded her empire, stretching north, west, east and south: selling snow to the Swedish, sand to the Saudis and disappointment to the English. With such a creative and astute mind at the helm, her multinational corporate empire soon exploded into a behemoth that now includes a Scientific Tourism™ research facility, construction and electronic manufacturing companies, a donkey sanctuary and a series of motivational tapes.
By 30 she was quoted in Forbes magazine as having a net-worth of over £1.5 billion. Endless Horizons Ltd. now holds over 200 companies across 30 countries, two principalities and several disputed war-zones. Its Scientific Tourism Research Facility has made major scientific tourism breakthroughs including the global translator, the self-climbing mountain harness, and the anti-jet lag drug SLEEPEBGON™ (to name only a few). Lattimer has repeatedly said: “I'm just trying to prove that our horizons are endless.”
It should come as no surprise then, that she vows to push forward with the development of TimeTourism™, which allows keen holiday-makers the chance to take trips back in time, despite the fatal demise of 48 Junior Research Assistants during routine testing. Speculation is mounting that the project is riddled with technical issues; that it presents the potential for catastrophe on a global scale; is a major threat to the space time continuum; and is both technically and logical impossible. But Lattimer has vowed to persevere in her mission to lead mankind toward commercial time-travel and no wise person with an ounce of self-preservation would bet against her.
As she puts it: “the future is in the past.”
